In its commitment to the defense of human rights, the RIDHE provides comprehensive support to its beneficiaries, being the psychosocial support And the mental health services a cross-cutting element in order to generate personal well-being, cohesion and social security.
To achieve these objectives, RIDHE works in partnership with the Gadaku/Rots Institute in Water, the Netherlands, which offers professional training aimed at psychologists, social workers, teachers and humanitarian personnel using the psychophysical methodology of Rock and Water.
This program has proven to be an effective intervention in the processes of healing, acquisition and development of socio-emotional competencies of the beneficiaries. Rock and Water generates a supportive and safe environment in which awareness of importance of working on mental health as a fundamental aspect in processes of social transformation.
Psychophysical methodology
Roca y Agua uses a unique and innovative psychophysical methodology. This means that mental and social skills are taught through a physical approach (action, play, role play), alternated with moments of self-reflection, group conversation and psychoeducation.
