The RIDHE expresses deep concern about the restriction of civic space in Paraguay

The European International Human Rights Network (RIDHE) expressed concern after the approval of a Bill “that establishes the control, transparency and accountability of non-profit organizations”, which alerts social organizations working on Human Rights. The so-called Garrote Law includes excessively broad and ambiguous formulations and gives rise to arbitrary restrictions. This regulation, which is awaiting presidential sanction.
